Objective of the project: The goal of the project is to increase the awareness of youth about causes and consequences of all forms of hate speech such as extremism, racial hatred, and xenophobia as well as about their solution possibilities.

The main outputs of the project:

  • Activities supporting the attenuation of both verbal and written forms of hate speech inciting racial hatred, extremism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and homophobia (54 trained high-school classes)
  • Training of NGO employees and volunteers in the field of improving the quality of their work with children and youth at risk, including Roma (48 people involved in educational activities)
  • Expanding the work of organisations which focus their activities at minimization or elimination of threats to children and youth at risk, including Roma (1,350 involved children and youth)
  • Increasing the quality of methodological materials for handling the hate speech issue (1 survey, 600 respondents, 1 new methodology)
  • Creating a platform for sharing and consulting the experience of young people with hate speech (designing 1 webpage for the campaign)
