Amount of the grant: 39 000 €

Objective of the project: To improve both social skills and ability to handle challenging situations by first-year pupils of selected elementary schools in two regions of Slovakia, thus preventing possible asocial behaviour at later age.

The main outputs of the project:

• Trainers of the Zippy’s Friends program (3) who will use the newly gained competence for the project in the future
• Teachers trained in the Zippy’s Friends program (25) who will use the newly gained competence in the project implementation as well as in their teaching work
• Zippy’s Friends program implemented for first-year pupils of elementary schools (400) who will learn how to handle their emotions better, how to communicate better, resulting in their improved confidence
• Measuring the effectiveness of the intervention program by pre- and after-intervention testing of participating children and teachers. The evaluation will prepare the basis for the implementation of the project in other schools and regions of Slovakia
